Tom and Jerry + Johann Strauss

So I was watching CN this morning when I saw one of my favorite episodes of Tom and Jerry.
Which lead me to browse YouTube a bit before studying for my test tomorrow.
My favorite part was 05:34, so Kaiser Walzer was my starting point.
And you know what they say: When it comes to classical music..

Vienna

..and that is why they call it, classic.

  1. Do you think that, if Tom & Jerry was released today, networks would still air it? I mean, knives, hammers, nails, pistols, shotguns and such?

I bet overprotective moms would be all over it on the first episode~ It's funny how we used to laugh at them as kids. And we wonder why we're a generation of sadists :P

  2. Yeah, I've been thinking about it too. I never realized how much violence was in there.

  3. I love the Strauss family! Though technically, they're Romantic, not Classical. I played the "An der schönen blauen Donau" in high-school (without the chorus...yes, there's a choral version), and indeed love the Kaiserwalzer, but "Rosen aus dem Süden" is my favorite.
