Project INSIGNIA - Survey Results

56 people responded to the poll I put out 4 days ago,
and the results are as follows:

4. In terms of "TV Series", which media do you prefer: 2D or 3D?

    






     • 2D = 94.6% (53 people)
     • 3D = 5.4% (3 people)

5. Why? Is there any particular aspect of it that you like?
The majority answered...

     • "2D allows a wider range of expressions and exaggerated movements."
     • "2D offers a more fluid motion. 3D looks a bit stiff and clunky." 
     • "Nostalgic! Familiar! Classic! Traditional! 2D reminds me of my childhood cartoons."
     • "3D looks kinda off, odd, awkward, and dwells in the Uncanny Valley. "
     • "2D shows are generally more well written."
     • "2D simply looks better, more aesthetic, more pleasing on the eyes (for me that is)"
     • "2D is simple, kid-friendly, and looks more innocent."
     • "2D is an escape from reality. I like that."


6. When you hear the word "Fantasy" what comes to mind?
The majority answered... 
 
     • Dragons, knights on horsebacks, wizards, elves, gnomes, the medieval era.
     • Creatures of magic 
     • Unicorns, fairies, clouds, sparkles, enchantments, dreams, wondrous things
     • Sword & sorcery, magic, superpowers
     • Final Fantasy.
     • Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, WarCraft
     • Science fiction / Sci-fi
     • Adventure, epic battles, combats


7. How would you pronounce the word "INSIGNIA"?

     • in-SIG-nee-uh = 82.1% (46 people)
     • in-SIGN-nee-uh = 5.4% (3 people)
     • Others = 12.5% (7 people)
           • in-SIG-nia = 2 people
           • in-SIG-ah = 1 person
           • in-sig-nee-a = 1 person
           • in-sig-nee-ya = 1 person
           • in-Sign-nee-ah = 1 person
           • in-sig-nee-yuh = 1 person

*Assuming that there were similar foreign tongue pronunciations, I'll add the Others vote into the original two options making the result as follows:

     • in-SIG-nee-uh = 92.9% (52 people)
     • in-SIGN-nee-uh = 7.1% (4 people)
