My choir is rehearsing Handel's, Messiah (Hallellujah Chorus) for this coming Easter. I can't believe it. I actually get to sing one of the most epic choir piece ever composed in human history. Truly a shred of Heaven shared with mankind.
Well, learning this song will surely come in handy one day (in Heaven).
Everybody loves a good sing-a-long 0:D

I'm may not be a Mormon, but I have to admit, their choir's amazing.
Then again, listening to it is nicer than singing it.
Some of the notes were so high I thought my vocal cord was gonna plop out xAx;
Anyway, this is the part I'll be singing.

Pros make it sound so easy ._.
Definitely a favorite; I was imagining this as your theme of the day when you got that A+ on the thesis :D
ReplyDeleteIf your choir ever records their work, you need to post some so we can hear you!
Haha, I'm afraid our Church doesn't have any recording equipments yet.
DeleteAre you doing the whole Messiah, or just that Chorus?
ReplyDeleteJust this chorus.
DeleteEither way, Handel is loads of fun. Not Bach-amounts of fun, but very fun nonetheless. Oddly enough, both Handel and Bach were born in the same year, not to far from each other in Germany, and never met...ever. Bach tried, but Handel would always flee away (he wasn't a people person).
DeleteI find it interesting that at a certain time, the world was filled with geniuses.
