FF XIV Cinematic Opening

==WARNING GEEKY POST AHEAD!!==

 

Miqo'te: No job is too daunting as long as the coin is right.

Elezen: Bah! You'd sell your own mother if her coin was good.

Miqo'te: My father too. Now quiet down and help me decide!

I like this cinematic video, especially the scene at the tavern (or guild HQ, or whatever). Something about the small gestures and details just captures me, like for instance:

-The way that Miqo'te curls her lips right before their drinks arrive.

-How that Elezen double shakes his head when he said, "The feeling, my dear, is mutual."

-The way they both shrugged at the same time when the Midlander snapped out.

-When the Lalafell turned her head a bit to the Midlander when casting the force field.

-The glittering ice particles just after the tentacles of the Malboro freezes solid.

-And finally the way the Elezen shifted his lips and nodded in agreement before they all left the table.

I guess being an animation student makes me pay too much attention to unnecessary details... or perhaps it's just me, lolz. I wonder if I'll ever be able to see animations the old way again :D

Anyways, I've finally found my favorite Final Fantasy main character. My vote goes to this guy cuz he seems to be the most realistic one in terms of appearance.

He has a shade of beard for one thing (lol first) And in case you haven't noticed, he has a small scar above his right eyebrow. And to top it all off, his sword isn't ridiculously large sword like Cloud Strife's (which ironically in my opinion, despite his fame, is the biggest loser of all the FF main characters for his identity crisis). Oh and don't forget his accent. Ha ha ha ha ha ha! Even though it was just one line. Congrats, Midlander..... whoever you are.You have my vote!

Hmm, 3D animation, eh? GAWD, I have to study hard if I ever wanna make something like this one day!

Prof. Tetsu: Then I suggest you finish your 3D Modeling assignment, my boy.
