A Closer Walk
After Mom went to Heaven, this image came to mind and I just had to draw it.
It's an illustration of a boy walking with God. He playfully balances himself over a stonewall as he shares with God the things that had happened that day, his thoughts, and his feelings.
Jesus, who's walking beside the boy, listens patiently to every word, as He reaches out His hand, ready to catch the boy in case he falls.
I drew Jesus larger on purpose, because that's the way He is.
The stonewall symbolizes our life on Earth as well as our individual paths in life.
There are a lot of things in this picture which I don't understand, like the stones itself, and the tree that grew near them.
One thing though, when I look at this picture, I kind of get the feeling that we humans tend to choose danger. Luckily we always have a hand to hold on to... just in case : )
Oh, and btw!
I found a video that I've been searching for 4 years.
I first saw it at a high school retreat and someone finally showed it again to me today.
Watch it in full screen to read the text easier. The song is in Korean, but there are subtitles.

Both the drawing and the video are really good. Now and then we all need little reminders that we're not alone, no matter what happens. Thank you very much for sharing this :)

I was actually prepared to receive negative comments on this post,
but this is so much better :D
Negative comments? Why would anyone do that? There's nothing more beautiful in this world that a true message coming from the heart~
DeleteTrue, but we now live in an era where people who believe in God are ridiculed as if it is a foolish thing to do.
