One of the things that appear to surprise people when I talk about Mom's last days
is the fact that we were only going to the hospital for a check up.
It seems most people assume that the reason we brought her to the hospital
was because her condition was worsening.
That's not entirely true.
We were actually planning for Mom to stay only for a couple of nights at the hospital
to make it easier for her to get CT scans and blood tests,
so she wouldn't have to go back and forth to the hospital,
which is tiring for her state.
Her condition dropped the first night she was there,
and my first shock was the next day
when I went to the hospital and saw how bad her condition had become.
Ouch, just remembering about it hurts...
Anyways, by the time I arrived, Dad had already arranged her to be moved to the ICCU.
and after that she was sedated, and that day (Tuesday) was the last time I really got to speak with her,
which I refrain from doing since she had trouble breathing.
Now this is where regrets come in...
...but let's have none of that.
Anyways, she stayed in the ICCU for about a week and was called by the Lord the next Monday.
As you can see, it was all quite unexpected, which of course,
made it even harder for me.
Now I'm just waiting for the guilt-waves to end.
Hopefully soon C:
Well there you have it.
A more detailed look on what happened.
Stay strong, senpai.
ReplyDeleteMy comrade had it worse.
ReplyDeleteHis mother didn't want to see his face when she was dying, for "that" reason.
Yeah, I guess it's better to have a deceased mother that loves you,
Deleterather than a living mother who rejects you.
