Weddings + Health Update

Today our choir sang at a wedding held at our Church.
We sang the song I've told you guys about, A Gaelic Blessing. And another song called, "He".

We had fun and I enjoyed singing it and I simply love the lyrics.
I could only find the choir version of it in Korean,
but you can hear the following solo performance
if you wish to listen to the English lyrics.

He can turn the tides and calm the angry sea
He alone decides who writes a symphony
He lights ev'ry star that makes the darkness bright
He keeps watch all through each long and lonely night

He still finds the time to hear a child's first prayer
Saint or sinner calls and always finds him there
Though it makes him sad to see the way we live
He'll always say "I forgive"

He can grant a wish or make a dream come true
He can paint the clouds and turn the gray to blue
He alone knows where to find the rainbow's end
He alone can see what lies beyond the bend

He can touch a tree and turn the leaves to gold
He knows every lie that you and I have told
Though it makes him sad to see the way we live
He'll always say "I forgive"

I forgive...

So about my health...

Remember that bad quartet-sickness-combo I got last time? Well the cough hasn't gone away completely ever since, and the cough will be entering its... 1..2......third week today.

Image tribute to Google.

I went to the doctor at my Church (who would've known that you could get a free check up at a Church? And a good doctor at that too. C:). He gave me some antibiotics and one more thing for my cough.

He wasn't very sure per se, since I only cough when I speak/sing/or when playing the flute and only a dry cough with clear phlegm if there were any. His speculation is that something is triggering an allergic reaction. He did however say that my throat is swollen and if I don't get better in 5 days, I should come back and get an x-ray of my lungs.

Ooooo~

Well let's hope the meds he gave me does the trick. The hospital where I can get the x-ray is the same hospital where Mom passed away. I don't plan on revisiting such a place so soon :I

  1. Stress causes weird health effects, too. Since that's been a major factor for you lately, that could be causing a lot of the problems. Did you ask him about that?

    1. Mmmmnot really... I didn't tell the doctor that because he told me that he had a cousin that was also an animator, who's currently working for a foreign game company, and so the conversation rolled there instead ^^a

(didn't feel like introducing myself as: "Koru, The Boy With Issues" at that moment ^^;)

Stress could very possibly be a factor, but I don't really want to blame it all on stress. The weather has just changed from dry to the rainy season, so cough and flu is pretty much going everywhere right now.

I know, right? The first time we sang it at the rehearsal, I was like, "Whoa... this song has some SERIOUS lyrics! O_O;" I'm so glad I joined the choir~
