1 Year Anniversary

I can't believe it has been 1 year since I first opened commissions.

Thank you Lord Jesus for guiding me this far.
I pray that I may continue to be a blessing to others
through the talents You've given to me.

Nature's Prophet - Dota2

A fanart of Nature's Prophet, my favorite character on Dota2

Art by Koru Xypress

This has got to be one of my most popular pieces in terms of pageviews. The one on DeviantArt soared into 2000 hits in the first hour and 20.000 hits over night, reaching over 50.000 hits in the third day. I think I owe it to a viewer who said he would want to share the link someplace, ha ha (and ultimately God). Good thing I uploaded 2 versions and on multiple websites, that way I could keep my head on the ground by looking at the pageviews of the other ones and see how I'm really doing on my own.

Wihout sunglasses.

INSIGNIA Teaser - Behind The Scenes

Oh hey, I forgot that I had some materials on YouTube that I haven't shared yet, so here they are.
I've uploaded the step-by-step Animation Process and the Animatics to the animated trailer I made for my college final project.
But first, here's another look of the finished version.

INSIGNIA Teaser Trailer
It's fun to watch this side-by-side with the Animatics.

Animatics
The images I used in the Animatics here were the final draft taken from the storyboard. As you can see there are quite a number changes that I made, from backgrounds to camera angles. There are some really cool shots, but they didn't made the cut because some of them interrupted the flow of the trailer. Regardless, I think they were some epic shots.

Animation Process
Some of you may already be familiar with how I do illustrations. This is more or less the moving version of my WIP progressions. It's still a fun thing to watch tho. You can see my Illustration WIP for a more in-depth view of how I do illustrations.

Aras' Mural

Shot_20 background of the Insignia Trailer.

I, John, your brother and companion in the suffering and kingdom and patient endurance that are ours in Jesus, was on the island of Patmos because of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus. 10 On the Lord’s Day I was in the Spirit, and I heard behind me a loud voice like a trumpet, 11 which said: “Write on a scroll what you see and send it to the seven churches: to Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamum, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia and Laodicea.”

12 I turned around to see the voice that was speaking to me. And when I turned I saw seven golden lampstands, 13 and among the lampstands was someone like a son of man,[a] dressed in a robe reaching down to his feet and with a golden sash around his chest. 14 The hair on his head was white like wool, as white as snow, and his eyes were like blazing fire. 15 His feet were like bronze glowing in a furnace, and his voice was like the sound of rushing waters. 16 In his right hand he held seven stars, and coming out of his mouth was a sharp, double-edged sword. His face was like the sun shining in all its brilliance.

17 When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. Then he placed his right hand on me and said: “Do not be afraid. I am the First and the Last. 18 I am the Living One; I was dead, and now look, I am alive for ever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and Hades.

19 “Write, therefore, what you have seen, what is now and what will take place later.

A Step in Time

My first Matte Painting commission. A special order from Tsarin.

It's my first time matte painting on a scale this large and it took quite a lot of effort to do, but I'm satisfied with the way it turned out. Personally I still prefer Digital Painting for its flexibility and creativity of drawing something from scratch, even though the results of Matte Paintings are highly realistic, but I guess it's fun to do in balance of my Digital Paintings. This is after all, one of my line of work at the office.

Eye of the Storm

Another Illustration commission for Gilian.

Once again I sought aid through a bit of Matte Painting, which in this case are the clouds. There are times when you simply have say, "I simply can't draw clouds like God does."

Against The Legion

An Illustrated commission for  Karmakat.

It's sad that most people nowadays aren't even aware of the dark forces at work around them. They refuse to acknowledge the fact that if you die unarmed, then nothing will protect them from the legion of evil forces that drag them down to the fiery abyss below.
