Our Church finally has a permanent building!

To my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ all over the world. Praise be to God.

It is my great pleasure to report to you that another Church in Indonesia has been completed. Today, on the 3rd of November 2013, the Indonesian Christian Church (GKI, originally: Gereja Kristen Indonesia) in Cinere, in the city of Depok, the province of Jawa Barat, celebrates its birthday for the first time in a real church building.

As you might have heard, Indonesia has the largest Islamic population in the world. Getting the license to build a Church is near impossible here due to the intense pressure from the majority. Churches being burned down is not a surprising news to us anymore.

After years and years of persecution and hardships, God has finally blessed GKI Cinere with a permanent building. Beginning at an outpost over 23 years ago, then joining a local Christian school, then a rented store, then using a temporary building, and today a building we could finally call our own. We once could house a few dozen people, but now we can house over a hundred.

I've been called to write this to encourage other members of Christ around the world that the gospel is still being preached even in the most densely populated Islamic country.

May the gospel be preached through out the earth.
May we keep persevering in our faith until the second coming of Jesus Christ.
Praise and glory be to God forever and ever. Maranatha. Amen.
